If you have a D-Link switch, make sure that isolation is always disabled. There's a physical button on the switch that allows you to easily turn this feature on or off.
- D-Link Isolation (often referred to as "AP Isolation" or "Client Isolation") is a feature found in some routers, including those manufactured by D-Link. When enabled, this feature prevents devices connected to the same network from communicating directly with each other. This can enhance security by isolating devices, but it can also prevent certain network functionalities, such as PXE boot that prevents PCs to boot on CCBoot or file sharing, printer access, or multiplayer gaming, from working correctly.
- After disabling isolation, test the network to ensure that devices can communicate with each other as expected.
