server, network, usage

To check your server's network performance, open Task Manager on the server there you can monitor the network speed and overall network activity in real-time.

  1. Open Task Manager.
  2. Go to the "Performance" tab.
  3. Click on "Network" to view the data for "Send" and "Received" traffic. (Figure 1)

Figure 1

  1. Send - The rate at which data is being sent through the network adaptor measured in kilo, mega  or giga bits per second (Kbps, Mbps, Gbps)
  2. Receive - The rate at which data is being received through the network adapter measured in kilo, mega  or giga bits per second (Kbps, Mbps, Gbps)
  3. If your server’s network card is rated at 1 Gbps, the maximum achievable data transfer rate typically ranges between 900 Mbps and 1 Gbps. Network overhead and various factors, such as cabling, switch performance, and other network configurations, may cause slight variations within this range.
